OH, Prom.

Prom. A landmark event in the life of every high school student. A night of romance, intrigue, and subsequently, drama. Or, as we all know better - a night of illegal drinking, rampant immorality, and that which we call so lovingly in O-town, "partying." (Just kidding mom.)

Now, not all of us lived "Laguna Beach" worthy high school years. My high school years? Fabulous, yet, excessively awkward. I had wonderful friends (Of Whom I am still grateful to be able to call friends), but Prom was anything but a highlight. Truly, I don't really even remember prom.

My little sister on the other hand? She is TEN TIMES cooler than I was in high school. She dresses better. Looks better. And had the football star as her "date." Oh, and did I mention she went to TWO high school's proms? Please. barf.

It's times like these when I am truly humbled. But let's just remind my dear sister, my husband is hotter than hers will be. Nerds always get the hot men.

Anyone else have less than wonderful prom experiences?
(Katie, you looked beautiful and I'm so glad you had fun.)

Hey beautiful girl! I haven't talked to you in ages!! Looks like everything in life is going swimmingly :)

I saw your post and had to comment because we were just talking about this very subject this weekend...my prom was less than amazing. My date had knee surgery and couldn't walk/dance. Plus the vicodin pretty much made him unable to converse. Awesome.

Prom = overrated haha.

Good old prom days! Ha!! That was stressful...dress, hair, date etc. I do wish I could go back and change some things about that time. Gotta love the Olathe high school life!

Awww...your sister looks so beautiful! Hmmm...Junior Prom, got dropped off for him to go get drunk i assume, Senior Prom, I had just had surgery and was on intense medication the entire night....so except for pretty dresses, I would be fine if Prom was banned from High School...

Ours have gotten SO bad with dancing and partying, I am pretty sure I am not going to let my kids go, I have a heart attack thinking about it! They will have to stay home and read or practice the piano or something...haha!
