School's Out

So I'm not teaching this week because schools are out in this area of Idaho. Why you ask?

SPUD HARVEST WEEK!!
School is out for a week so kids can go pick spuds. How random is that? (Idaho is strange). I considered going and helping but I'm getting to the "awkward bending over stage" and figured it wouldn't be too pleasant to get stuck in a bending position.

AND PS. I need some crafty projects and books to work on this week with Trev out of town (cattle buying in Wisconsin). Ideas please!?!?!

I have found that browsing anthropologie gives a woman good ideas of what to MAKE since they cost 9 times the price in their store! Check it out.. see if you get any cute ideas

I remember when I went to "Ricks" (that's what is was called way back when I went there) I couldn't believe they let school out for potato harvest. Being a city girl from CA I had never heard of such a thing!

HAHAHAHA! Oh I remember spud harvest week. That's so funny.

Book: Atlas Shrugged. Just get it. It's long but top 3 books I've ever read.

Craft: I'm sure Idaho has some kind of Michaels or craft store. Get the wood letter cutouts for the nursery and paint them :) Or a little shelf or something and some paint. I did that the other day for a mini shelf that had pegs for keys and painted it and then put one of our wedding pics on top and nailed it in next to the door. Very cute actually.
