An Update

December induces blog slacking. Apologies. Here is an extremely wordy update if you so wish to read.

We've had a lot of the normal holiday business on our hands, as well as a lot of cow business and random sprinklings of unexpected challenges. That, is what they call life. The words of my best buds, Garth and Dave "I'm alive...and well."

Treyson is learning to do things like throw fits and turn on scalding hot water by himself why his mother attempts to use the toilet. It's keeping life exciting! We find ourselves many nights standing over his crib and just staring at the little sleeping bug like true creepsters. He is so wonderful. My father in law said the other night, his biggest fear is that something would happen to Treyson. Something rather uncharacteristic of my father in law, the unemotional cattleman. It just proved to me how much others love this little boy. I love love.

And, might I add, if anything ever happened to him, you could find me at your local mental hospital. not a joke.

Logan is still living with us and has started his basketball season at good ol' Parma High. I have found myself often yelling profane words at refs, who definently deserved it. Kidding, tho Trevor does say I'm going to be "one of those moms." It's fun to have Logan around; but I am no where ready to be the mother to a teenager of my own children.

Trevor is working his hiney off to make the cattle thing work. It's difficult at times for both of us. I'm fighting myself on a daily basis because I really desire to have him succeed and be happy in his career; nevertheless, I don't want to sacrifice that which is important to me. It's been an ongoing discussion in our home. We're both trying to find balance.

I'm getting used to life in the country, which is a blessing for BOTH of us though :). We're still not sure where and when we will plant permanent roots, which can get a bit frustrating; however, if anyone else is self employed, you know how it goes! scary. exciting. promising. boring. happy. poor. thankful. all proper adjectives re. our life as of late.
Here is a random sampling of pictures:
Our anniversary date. Sweet hotel room. take out sushi. 3 hours straight of criminal minds. 2 trips to Mcdonalds, Taco bell, and Starbucks.
Trevor's cousins wedding. Most people take pics of the bride and groom. I apparently have pictures of Trev's hilarious cousins and my screaming child.
Treyson eating whole pizza because he will not eat anything if it's torn up

Picture perfect husband and manchild. Leading to proof treyson throws all out fits.

(Trevor wants me to clarify the red dot between his eyes is not a zit, but rather a cut that resulted from a falling cell phone. dont ask)

I'm loving the Treyson faces. Too funny. He has such a personality. Also loving the shot of Trevor complete with leg over the railing. Boys. So silly. Gotta love them.

Self employment as ranchers = you being wildly rich one day.

Hang in there until then :) And I like your thoughts about balance...keep a healthy balance along the way (as much as possible). All the money in the world won't make up for lost time. But it will SURE HELP! Ha. Ha!!

And when you are sipping lemonade on a beach in the Santorini Islands some day, you'll remember these years fondly :)

P.S. You look fabulous.
