Weight

45 pounds.

The amount of weight my doctor suggested I gain.

FORTY FIVE POUNDS.

I know I have to do it for the sake of the two babies, but I am having such a HARD time accepting it.

I never realized how obsessed I am with being a certain weight.

And everyone keeps saying, "That's awesome. You can eat whatever you want!"

All I can think of is the millions of miles I'll have to run next summer.

And yes, that is a selfish thought.

And yes, I will do it.
But, please remember the day when I was a size 4.

I am so vain.
And by the way, at 10 weeks pregnant. I look like I did at 5 months with Treyson. :)
This will be the one and only post I do about my body.
Promise.

i think you should gain weight naturally dont make yourself gain what dr tells you. if the babies are growing good dont look at the weight. boo

I agree with Megan and Mike. Just eat healthy (as I'm sure you will), and your body will get rid of the extra quickly after the babies come.

i gained 40 with Lily. I was HUGE! You'll be totally fine. Just eat healthy and exercise and you'll bounce right back.

um..yeah, i gained 45 lbs with jalen but lost it all and more. i'm actually smaller than i was pre-preggers. but still working on that six pack :( probably get close to that and then baby #2 will be coming! hope you start feeling better. i puked with jalen until 22-24 weeks and that was with taking zofran every 6 hrs. i'm praying for ya!

You may or may not gain that amount.. your body will gain what it needs to as long as you don't do anything extreme. And if it makes you feel any better, I felt like I looked 4 months pregnant at 10 weeks with Abby compared to my pregnancy with Claira too! And I just had ONE baby in there... I'm sure you look great. If anybody has a good "bodytype" for having twins, you do.. because you are long and lean :) I understand the vainess though.. i think we all feel that way, you just voiced it :)

I NEVER looked at the scale. They kept asking how much I gained... I STILL HAVE NO IDEA!

only 45? I gained 35 with JUST Colton, and I still looked decent and gained a good amount of weight. I bet it'll all just fall off after you have the babies and you are nursing two! You bounced back quickly after Trey, so you'll be good with the twins too :) It is scary though!

seriously...Andrea...after reading all the comments we're all wondering..."what's our excuse!?" I gained 35 plus with Jack and with this pregnancy I feel big already too! And, I can't even tell people "I'm having twins"...so just know that we're all actually jealous of you. Plus, twins are the best and are worth every extra pound.

i totally understand the feeling Drea....we sacrifice a lot to have kids. Just gain "healthy weight" and it will come off that much easier. You can do it!!!

I gained 50 with Kyle and 40 with Nolan. I went over your dr.'S recommendation with just one kid! Oh, and I lived off pop tarts in the beginning with Nolan. Forget "healthy weight." It was one of the few things I kept down at the time.

I'm struggling now with my post partum self. I usually don't fret about size, so it's uncomfortable for me to be so uncomfortable with my own body. As soon as those babies start smiling it feels all worth it, but then I look in the mirror and feel gross again. It's a mental battle...

I feel your pain. I hate hate hate it...then hate myself for hating it.

See, we all gained a ton.

I win. I gained 50 with Tofer. Yep, you read that right.

It will all come off. And 50 pounds or 100 pounds you are beautiful and always will be.

The reason you have to gain more weight is because you have another CHILD in there. So you'll have to have more water, more placenta, and more human in you. So that could easily add up to the 45 pound recommendation. The great thing about that is, you lose that weight with the birth. So I really don't think you'll have any more difficult of a time losing the weight than you would with one child.

No big deal. Try to eat healthy, but eat whatever you have to to function. My last pregnancy was yogurt, pickles and doritos.

45 lbs isn't bad at all.. especially with twins. I gained 50 with just brady and I'm on track to gain 50 with this baby too.

You'll get it off don't worry about that!!
