Swim Lessons

Treyson is the most cautious child alive. Not a dare devil bone in his body. It's honestly made for some easy parenting; however, we live near two large canals. They TERRIFY me. I decided the best thing to do is get Treyson to learn to swim quickly. Problem is, he didn't even want to put his face in the water. SO, we're doing a month of Mommy and me, and then a few weeks of level I. I'm hoping it helps. So far, it has. He's already gustered up enough courage to jump on the diving board! On the last day of lessons, it's a "fun" day, so we all went along to see Trey show off his skills. Or rather, lack thereof.

NO floaties...seems like that can be a scary step for some! My little sister taught baby/toddler swim lessons and she would always comment on how much kids improve in a short time! Looks like fun!

swimming lessons take forever.. Claira's done 3 rounds of them and is still not ready to swim on her own. She's made improvement.. but, it takes a lot. He sure does look like he was having fun though!

So I wish our kids could be friends, I took Bryant to the pool and he would only stick his feet in. He freaked out every time we tried to take him further in. Also, I think bry is 29 lbs too. He is always moving so I feel like he never grows and the only thing he ever wants to eat is French fries. I've decided my worst pet peeve is when other moms think they know best and try to give me advice. It's maddening. I feel your pain :)
