The Week

So in the past week, our heater broke. Our car broke. Our water went out. My phone bit the dust. Trevor got called for jury duty the week we are supposed to be in Kansas (still hoping we can get out of that one considering T hasn't been back in over 2 years, me in over 1 year). Can we say the PITS?

Last night, we were discussing the events and how mean it made both of us. We laughed as we reflected on how blessed we really are. 3, gorgeous, smart, healthy kids. All our needs met. Financial peace. A roof over our heads. The full gospel of Jesus Christ. A relationship, albeit inperfect, stable and true. What the heck can we complain about?

The richness in life is from these three little buggers.

Being Buzz Lightyear. Duh.
They stand at our back door for LONG amountsof time, watching dad work outside.

I'm in love with that last picture. I love the reunion between my boys and their dad when he comes home from work!

My cell bit the dust and my car broke down this week too. I guess we just needed reality checks.

Your kids are gorgeous.

First of all, WOW, all those happened this week? And, Trevor totally needs to throw the jury duty by being ridiculous in the interview.

NEXT...STOP it. Is trey closing his eyes like how buzz does when he jumps off the railing? Or was the coincidence? Love it. That kid rocks. And those girls? To die for. Darling darling.

I hope this week is better than the last!

im really, really sorry. that had to made for such a hard week. you are better at showing the bad on your blog, then i am.

we had a week similar recently. brady decided to use the cd player in my car as a piggy bank, which ultimately blew almost every fuse in the car and 1,500 later + a new radio system....my car is drivable again.

where did that 1500 have to come from? the money we were saving to take a cruise together this summer. :(

that same week, matt didnt make commission at work, the kids got a relapse of the stomach flu and i had officially hit my wall and had a complete breakdown.

my grandmother had a similar talk with me that we have what matters. healthy kids, food on the table, a roof over our head....sometimes i need that reality check.

i hope this week is better for you!! the girls are just beautiful.
