My Trevor is adorable. The other day we were in TJ Maxx (I told you, there are not many places to shop), and Trev found these $10 sunglasses. He came up to me and said, "Honey, can I get these or do they cost too much money?" in the most innocent voice.
Obviously, I consented. He's such a babe. I highly reccomend husbands. They are fun. MOST days.
Afterward our less than successful shopping, we went to dinner at this cute little place called, "The Snakebite." SUCH good food. I had the best PESTO PASTA. Does anyone have a good recipe for Pesto? I'm addicted.

SO...it is super easy, you need about a day and 30$. It also works on laminate or veneered furniture. Basically there are three steps:
1-Sand with fine grit sand paper just enough to make the surface dull and NOT SHINY (wipe clean with damp cloth afterwards)
2-Prime. Use any primer. If you are going to go black, your primer can be tinted grey free of charge.
3-Paint. You'll only need a quart for a dining table. I would do semi-gloss for a table (easy to clean)...unless you want it really shiny like mine which is high gloss.
For the painting and the priming use a quality 3-4" synthetic brush and overlap your strokes following the wood grain. Nice, long, even strokes and it will look fantastic! Good luck. Take some pictures!
hey he got his teeth back! hooray :)
I can't wait to see my grandchildren! They will be SO cute.
Pesto
A bunch of fresh basil, some olive oil, clove or two of garlic, some pine nuts (walnuts are less expensive and work fine)and some parsley (about 1/2 as much as the basil). Spin around a food processor a couple of times. Add shredded fresh parmesan cheese. Spin a few more times for consistency that you like. You can put the pesto in ice cube trays for freezing and use at a later time too! MMMMM.
