Treyson has NOT been super fussy, but today, he was super tired after 10 hrs of sleep AND a 3 hour nap. Completely NOT normal.
Guess who has a stinking TOOTH? We're talking, we have visual here. Bottom. front. left.
Guess who had NO idea till today?
I'm the dumbest mom and Treyson is the mellowest kid.
This combo provides lots of surprises.
Let's hope they don't continue at age 16.
Trey: Yo, so mom, I have a kid.
Me: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT?
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Teething advice? Is breastfeeding going to hurt now that he can CHOMP on me? Tylonel/oragel/teething rings (mind you, he's only 4.5 months)?
Should I start rice cereal earlier now?

Teething tablets. They worked the best for Kyle and are sold next to all the teething stuff. They are homeopathic. Nursing won't hurt... yet. I think once he's a little older it might. haha.
Hhahhah yo, mom! You are so funny!!
I just felt Bailey's for the first time today too. I don't think there is any need to start solids yet. i would put if off as long as possible. I started Bailey around 5 months but she was waking every 3 hours at night. I would have waited longer if she was sleeping better. Bailey bites down while nursing every once in a while. I can tell ya it hurts when they have a tooth but that's only if they are biting. Otherwise I can't even tell. teething wrings are great and i've used baby orajel a few times and tylenol only the 2 nights she was up screaming! My doc said not to use baby orajel too much. only when really needed. those 2 nights it was really needed!
While I can't offer any real sound advice (yet), I have to say you have the cutest little boy. I get so baby hungry just looking at your blog...it's a dangerous breach of birth control!
wow Lucy must be a late bloomer she still doesn't have any teeth! But i do think she is teething right now cause she's been a little fussier and seems like she's in some pain. So that's awesome trey never seemed to even notice. He's such a little stud!
if he's not super fussy then its most likely not bothering him. i would leave cold teething rings (after being in the fridge) around for him to use, and maybe some tylenol if he becomes irritated. ive heard orajel numbs them up pretty bad , to the point where some babies wont eat because of it. and id check the ingredients on teething tablets. the ones my ped recommended (hylands) have coffee in it as a stimulant, and i just felt weird giving that to a baby so i opted out. cant believe he already has a tooth. how exciting!
oh and biting...thats a tough one. all babies are different so he may just not be a biter. if hes not then you really wont feel a thing while nursing (it'll jsut be 'normal'). but when they bite it can hurt pretty bad. adeline only does that when i try to nurse and she doesn't want any, so i usually just back off and not push anything on her. but i know what you mean, it can be scary. the thought of it makes me cringe!
I love Hyland's Teething Tablets b/c they are all natural. I've heard some scary stuff about Orajel so I don't really use it. I tried it once but haven't used it sense.
