Now that I wake up randomly at 4am -ish, I have lots of time to "reflect" in early mornings. This morning I was blog stalking random people - which I actually haven't done a lot of lately (I'm too into my kid right now..).
I found one of the most beautiful blogs. I had to share (I hope she doesn't mind) because it really gave me added strength.
I've had quite a few friends who have had experiences w/horribly mean comments written on their blogs or said to them by other women. The dichotomy of these two experiences (the mean comments vs. the strengthening blog) reminded me of something I read in the October Ensign yesterday:
"Stephanie knows that her baptism was a first step, not a final destination. But she hopes friends and colleagues see her in a new light. “What I hope people see in me is that I uphold a higher standard now and that I build rather than degrade.”
"Stephanie knows that her baptism was a first step, not a final destination. But she hopes friends and colleagues see her in a new light. “What I hope people see in me is that I uphold a higher standard now and that I build rather than degrade.”
I love that. It is my new goal. To not let my words, thoughts or actions degrade others (or myself!), but rather, build. I think every person, especially every woman, can learn something from that statement.
Off to work. Have a wonderful day.

love this post and loved the blog. it was fun to be uplifted so early in the morning. hoping your up and checking your blog because these cute towels are on http://www.babysteals.com.
when is your shower?
Well said, baby girl. Thanks for the reminder. I will be a better person because of you.
You know the parable of the wheat and the tares? (I think it's in Matthew) anyway, someone explained that to me like this: tares depleat and take nutrients away from others to make themselves grow. Wheat does not take anything away, but actually grows together. I like to look at people like that. I'd rather be around the wheat, and help other people grow (build them up) than the tares and be pulled down.
By the way. I miss you.
so after your whole crazy blog ... thing... i don't even know what to call it! anyways, i bookmarked that lady's site and have been keeping up with her just to see if she does it to anyone else or me! well she hasn't but i think she's friends with those boys who are doing the same thing to that couple that's friends with your friend. wow, did you follow all that? anyways she mention you today and what she did with you. it wasn't bad, just that she did the same thing. it's weird that people enjoy that sort of thing so much. but whatever, can't let it effect you!
thanks for the good thought :)
I remember waking up at 4 am when I was pregnant and couldn't sleep. Now, 3 1/2 months after Noah was born, I am still waking up at 4 am, in addition to 1:30 am and then up at 7 to feed the little guy. lol
Anyways, thanks for the thought.
loved this. thank you for posting that.
