Little Monster

Good thing he's cute. Otherwise, this week, you might find him on your doorstep.
(This is a joke. I, in no way, ever think or plan to leave my child anywhere. Just wanted to clarify for any nut jobs who might think I am serious!)

Treyson continues to be my heart.
I love to finally feel what so many other moms have talked about for years before.
I think this one year birthday business has really made me realize how blessed we are to have him in our home.
Lately, I've felt like a bad mom. There's just a lot on my personal plate and Treyson often gets the short end of the stick because I'm so focused on me.

I know it's wrong.
Yet, he forgives me and stays happy and loves me more than anyone else in this world.

Do we have babies to teach and raise them,
or perhaps, are they are here to teach us and help US remember.
Because Treyson reminds me daily.

Who I am.

Where I came from.

And what I am doing on this Earth.

So true. And I call Kyle my Little Monster all the time. Yet I still love him with all my heart.

1) what kind of "me" things are you doing? i think it's super healthy to focus on yourself. i have to sometimes just to keep sane. i may not have a child, but i have 40 "children."

2) i love channing tatum too, and even though my friend saw the sneak preview last night and said it wasn't that good, i can just stare at him all day...i don't really care about the content of the movie.

3) treyson. still. so. cute.

Time flies. Seriously, it's so crazy that a year has gone by since the whole lovely birth experience. I remember so clearly checking your blog every day to hear the labor saga! And then to be two weeks late myself. Ugh. And now we have these funny little guys taking command of the house! Yea, I'm scared of actually "parenting". Now that Tofer has opinions about things (that he vocalizes anyway) I'm trying to figure out the game plan.

Well said. Parent is SO hard. And yes, we will make mistakes. That's why the partnership you spoke of earlier is so important. We do the best we can and love makes up the rest. He is a joyous wonderful boy. When we got home last night the house was so empty. I miss you both.
