My mom told me my blog was bipolar because of my frequent posts on pop culture, alongside the "freeganism" post. Perhaps she is right. Or perhaps, you can live a freegan lifestyle and still have bleach blonde hair and still be VERY excited about this:
March 24. Excitement.

Ouch
Due to the lack of sunlight enriched with Vitamin D, I had to crack and go to the cancer beds....aka tanning. The first time, I didn't burn at all and came out nice and brown(er). Yesterday was a different story. my face and chest are lobster red and it hurts! I look ridiculous. Trev felt bad for me and got me some cold clothes. This is how I fell asleep last night. Sad.

A Weekend Away
Before I went to work on Friday, Trev and I were talking about how nice it would be to get away for the weekend. When I got home, Trev told me to pack my bag because we were going on a shopping weekend in SLC and to see my brother and sister in law. It was such a nice surprise and SO nice to get away to the warm (in comparison to Rexburg) Utah weather. I REALLY needed some new clothes bc (for once) I lost weight and everything is too big for me.
We did a lot of fun things. We went to eat at Maddox in Brigham City. This place is SO fantastic. The turkey steak with pink sauce looked and sounded sketchy to me, but now Trev has me hooked.
Friday night we stayed at my brother and sister in laws', and talked and watched THE SIMPSON MOVIE (stupid). It was so good to see them. I miss my brother terribly living away. We've always been together!
Saturday was shopping day. Trev totally spoiled me. We didn't end up getting too much because I can never find clothes I like. We hit up Nordstrom Rack, Urban Outfitters, Anthro, etc. I got new Shox so I can achieve my running goals and a few other things. I needed a new tote for teaching and got this beaut I've been eyeing.
We also had lunch at Tucano's. YUM - I'd go just for the fried bananas and grilled pineapple.
We played Settlers of Cataan with Ry and Kali on Sat night. I was surprised how much fun that game is and how addicting it was! We stayed up so late playing and only took one break for Coldstone (I don't know how I ate so much that day!). And, for the record, I schooled Trev at Settlers.
It was a wonderful weekend and I love my husband even more for recognizing I needed it. I miss Utah (Never thought I'd say this...) so much! Thanks Ryan and Kali!

In a Name
Since we are only in Rexburg for a few months, I have been substitute teaching. It is actually so much fun. I work when I want (which is pretty much every day) and teach whatever class/grade I want. Love it! This week, I am teaching a Kindergarten class. They are SO precious, but oh so entergetic.
Today, I asked them if they remembered my name. One onery boy raised his hand and shouted "MRS. COCKROACH" Then all 28 exploded in giggles. It was very funny. I just hope they don't think I LOOK like one!

Dream Home....
Trev and I were discussing our dream homes the other night. He prefers brick and columns...I don't care for excessive brick, and columns remind me of the White House. He cringes at the idea of a pale yellow house with white shutters and a red door. Pale yellow excites me as does a country rustic theme with cape cod influences. We do; however, agree on the need for large mud room with shower so he can remove the lovely scent of cow manure before entering the beauty....
Here's an idea of MY dream house. Or a cross between the two (minus the high foundation on 2).

Trev's Dream House
Now it's YOUR turn! What's your dream house? Pictures? I tag everyone! (Including you mom)

Trev's Bday!

It was my sweet husband's birthday yesterday. It was a fun, relaxing day. We had went out to a local steak house Saturday night so Sunday was the basic cake and icecream deal. It was a lot different than his last bday, as last year we were in Provo and got together with 20 of our friends. This year, we just had each other. I know everyone thinks their husband is the best, but they're all wrong. Mine is. Hands down.
All my friends used to tell me I'd never find my "mountain man/financial planner." Well, I did and he is better than I ever imagined.
